With this production - EDWARD FARRELL fulfilled a dream of years which started the night he saw the televised original FOLLIES IN CONCERT from New York.
Edward had been a Director of The Olympia Theatre in Dublin, and of Opera Theatre Company. He was also a noted solicitor by trade.
His Productions included GREASE and SNOOPY THE MUSICAL at the Olympia Theatre. THE COUNTRY BOY Andrews Lane Theatre and National tour, and DANCING AT LUGHNASA and THE MAI in association with the Abbey Theatre in his home town Athlone.
Other productions included THE STREETS OF DUBLIN starring Ron Moody at the Tivoli Theatre Dublin, The Druid Theatre Company/Royal Court TheatreLondon production of THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LENANNE, Maeve Binchy's TROUBLED HEART in association with Project Arts Centre and THE MAUREEN POTTER SHOW.
With Pat Moylan he presented the first national tour of John B.Keane's SIVE.
Edward died in 2008
